Any modification to a vehicle that alters its structure, function, or appearance must be approved by the RTO. The details of the modifications, along with the necessary documents, such as vehicle registration papers, insurance, and emission test certificate should be approved
Ensure compliance with safety standards
Modified vehicles must comply with the safety standards set by the government. For example, the headlights, and brakes must be in proper working condition. Any modifications that compromise the safety of the vehicle or other road users are strictly prohibited.
Update the registration certificate
After receiving approval from the RTO, you will need to update the vehicle's registration certificate to reflect the modifications made. Failure to update the registration certificate may result in penalties and legal consequences.
