MG Files Design Patent for New EV
ZS EV and Comet EV, two electric cars produced by MG Motor, are already available in India and serve the high-end and low-end segments of the market, respectively.
For a brand-new electric mini SUV, MG has applied for a design patent in India. The style is similar to a product called Baojun Yep that is available on the Chinese market.
The Yep is a bit roomier and more proportionately designed than the Comet EV because of its somewhat bigger size (3,381 mm length, 1,685 mm wide, and 1,721 mm height).

A boxy design, a rectangular front grille, square LED headlamps, a tough bumper, and a flat bonnet with sharp carvings are a few of the features.
Key Highlight Of The New Car
The Baojun Yep EV's Indian powertrain specs are still unknown. In China, a 28.1 kWh battery pack drives a single electric motor on the back axle.
A new compact EV from MG may debut around 2025. It will be placed above the Comet EV and probably serve as the Tata Tiago EV's direct price rival.
