What do warning lights in your car mean?

If your vehicle has an anti-theft system, it could be malfunction.

Security light

If you see this symbol, you are most likely trying to shift gears or start your ignition without engaging the brake. The automatic shift lock will lock your vehicle until you engage the brake.

Automatic shift lock or Engine start indicator

This means you are running low on gas. It's not a good idea to test its limits.

Low fuel indicator

This indicates an issue with your vehicle's charging system. You might have a damaged battery cable or your alternator belt might be broken.

Battery alert

Your check light might appear because of low oil pressure or over heating. Other times, this light will appear if your gas cap is open, loose, or cracked, causing fuel to evaporate.

Engine warning

This image signals that the pressure in one or more tyres is too low or too high and needs to be addressed. Since driving on low or high-pressure tyres is unsafe for your vehicle.
